Hello Chuck. There's something very cheerful about this fungus. Some fungi are quite repellent. Some even smell of decay. You are right, these seem very springlike. I'll have to find out whether they are seasonal.
Jelly Ear look, to me, otherworldly, like some kind of alien life form. I love your photo of this, thank you for posting it. Yes a true harbinger of Spring sure to come! (SOON, please!) Kind regards, Kitty
Signs of spring in the air. Very cool shot Lucy!

I have never seen or heard of Jelly Ear before. It sort of looks like someone set out some dried apricots to rejuvenate in the morning dew.
ReplyDeleteThanks for all your visits. I look forward to your comments.
That fungus has always intrigued me. To me it looks like somebody has had fun with a set of Fribees. It is said to edible, but as a - jelly... :-)
ReplyDeleteCool shot! Love to see some signs of spring around her too. But still it's about 1 meter of snow covering the ground :o(
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't look real, but is of course, and a wonderful shot.
