    Hi Lucy,
    This is a dramatic shot. I really like the way you framed it, with that one big block of red surrounded by monochrome.

    I also read about the blackthorns and hawthorns, and I loved the small violets (?) in the last shot.

    Hello Hermes, Dimple and Woody.

    It was a very grey day when I took this photo. (Tuesday 5th April 2011.) The red really stood out.

    Even though they are very common and I've seen them all my life - I still don't know their name! (I'll have to put that right! (Definitely not violets though.)
