WORLD IN A LEAF

  1. Just seeing this great picture made me shiver. Winter can't be far away. But those colours are like paints. In fact I thought this would make a great painting.

  2. Hello Hermes, Magiceye and Woody - autumn always gives me great pleasure.

Woody - I hadn't thought of looking for last year's leaves - though there's a chance these are from this year. In wet patches, sycamore leaves go brown and soggy and disreputable pretty quickly.

  3. They look trampled but still beautiful.

  4. Hello T. Becque - Until Woody said about last year's leaves, I hadn't thought about how old they are. Now you mention trampling and I'm not even sure about that. I expect dogs have walked on them from time to time, maybe an odd foot . . . but they are beside a path rather than on it . . . I'm thinking there's more to this picture than I realised when I took it - a sort of seasonal archaeology.
