  2. Morning Hermes. The ground stayed frozen rock solid all day. I'd gone prepared though, was well wrapped and stayed warm. It was a lovely walk.

    (I'd was drawn down to the water by the ice floating by. Hadn't seen such a thing before.)

  5. An unusual but very interesting way of showing a river - an increased peacefulness to the photo.

    PS And I suppose the river beneath a bridge called Stourbridge? Famous among railway enthusiasts and also fans of the late Michael Innes.

    RuneE - there are several 'Stour's. This one is in Dorset - a long way from Stourbridge. The rivers Frome and Avon have similar identity problems!
