WILTSHIRE AND SWINDON GMB BANNER
If I'm not careful, we'll be round to the next Tolpuddle festival before I've posted all the photos I took of the banners in 2016. (Not that I photographed them all; it's a massive event!)
General and Municipal Workers Union (Wiltshire and Swindon). The 'B' is for 'Boiler Makers' but this is for historical reasons - it's really for a much wider group than that.
Here's a link to Wikipedia information about the White Horse carved into the hillside at Westbury in Wiltshire.

PARKING MARKINGS
At the top of a multi-storey car park.
For some reason this photo self-published early and out of sequence so apologies if you are seeing this for a second time.

REFLECTED PUB UMBRELLAS
You can see these same, huge, pub-garden umbrellas 'the right way up' (i.e. non-reflected) at UMBRELLAS.

GOOSE GRASS AND BINDWEED
The Goosegrass in the title goes up the middle It isn't grass and is also called 'Cleavers' - the leaves are slightly sticky and when the little seed balls develop they will cling easily to your clothes. Bindweed (convolvulus) has large heart shaped leaves and will have huge, white, trumpet-like flowers. Bottom right - three leaves on the top of a stalk - new bramble leaves (blackberries!). To the left of the bramble, right at the bottom of the page, is a lesser celandine leaf. The blueish flowers are - Bluebells! Above the lowest bluebell flower is a tiny, yellow, star-like shape. This is the remains of a Celandine flower. The grass is easy to identify as grass but I don't know what kind it is. (Pretty tough though.) I think the leaves to the right of the top bluebell are baby Nettles. I wouldn't be surprised if there aren't more plants in there too!

SHAPE OF ALEXANDERS
About five foot high.
The alexanders here seem to have 'short-height' years and 'tall' ones. This is a 'tall' year.
