The atmosphere was quite daunting.Lucy Corrander : Photoshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09964351675026702967noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7851693270620989412.post-71394281894285776482017-05-12T19:35:12.852+01:002017-05-12T19:35:12.852+01:00That's an exciting project, thanks for the lin...That's an exciting project, thanks for the link too.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7851693270620989412.post-51911866173548419022017-05-02T09:36:58.971+01:002017-05-02T09:36:58.971+01:00Hello Taken for Granted. However, Halifax (UK) maybe over-burdened with later yet historic buildings that will be hard to find a use for and expensive to restore - mostly nineteenth century mills and grand buildings associated with the wealth they created (on the backs of the workers who had a very hard time of it one might add).

Hello Pat. I'm glad you like this photo. It's one of my recent favourites. I had to take it very long-distant so I'm glad it came out as well as it did. (And I'm pleased with the composition too - so thnaks.) The Piece Hall - it's amazing. And the size of it is hard to exaggerate. I hope it goes well, it's so large it will either be a huge success and help with the re-invigorating of the area or a tremendous and expensive flop - there are so many commercial units to fill. It's impressive too that where other councils are closing libraries, Halifax is building a large new one and expanding provision for the dramatic arts.Lucy Corrander : Photoshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09964351675026702967noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7851693270620989412.post-55185338061180543102017-05-01T07:42:48.476+01:002017-05-01T07:42:48.476+01:00An excellent composition - I love the workman'...An excellent composition - I love the workman's jacket.
And thanks for the link to a project I hadn't heard about.
