Hello Susan. This particular variety of raspberry (Polka) can be pruned so it fruits in summer AND autumn so it's specially useful. Not that I've been able to follow that pruning advice. These canes have been left pretty much to themselves over the last few years but they have still produced fruit in both season. (Though not profusely.) I am very pleased! (The birds seem more interested in my brassica seedlings. Annoying!)
Berry nice. ˚◡˚
ReplyDeleteAh yes, the sweet fruit of fall. We are attracted by the red color and the taste.
ReplyDeleteWonderful picture of contrasts! I only have summer ones and the birds mostly get those.
ReplyDeleteHello Andy. I wish I could think of a witty reply.
ReplyDeleteHello Taken for Granted. This particular variety of raspberry is VERY tasty.
