Hello Hermes - all the snow has gone here and I expect this ice has gone along with it.
Hello Woody, I suppose it is too much to hope your Christmas lights kept shining even when encased in ice?
Hello Faye. Our season is swinging around between cool, cold, freezing and pleasantly springlike. Yesterday evening, it pelted down with rain. Other parts of Britain are having it much harder with deep snow non-stop.
Hello Pat. I'm surprised the twig didn't snap off, the ice must have been heavy. There were a lot of green leaves encased in ice too. It has been melting over the last couple of days and I thought it would have killed anything tender but, although the leaves are floppy, I think they will survive. If it had been frost - they wouldn't have had a chance.

Just makes me think how glad I am it's thawing today. But great picture.
Cool how the branch is encapsulated!!
A couple of years ago, we had an ice storm and the same thing happened to the Christmas lights (this is on my old blog)

When I look at this picture I see the ice representing a hand and thumb .. and the branch representing a bone.
I really like this picture. Great capture.
Hello Basketball Mom.
I see it as a hand too. It's extraordinary how these things form. Something else which drew my attention was the clarity of the ice.
Glad you like Message in a Milk Bottle - and for becoming a follower!
