BRONTE COUNTRY

Bronte Country van with snowy hills glimpsed between houses. Stanbury. Calderdale, West Yorkshire.

In the broad area around Haworth, everything gets related to the Bronte sisters who used to live there: tyres, teas, caravan sites, gin!

This was taken yesterday outside The Wuthering Heights pub in Stanbury, Probably the last of the snowy pictures for the moment as the temperatures have moved above freezing today.

HALIFAX ROADS

Multi-layered road scheme in Halifax, West Yorkshire

This is a similar view to a photo I used in a post about Shroggs Park on my other blog, Loose and Leafy. It shows a little of how the way roads in Halifax (West Yorkshire) have to been multi-layerd to cope with the unusual topography here - deep clefts in the hills running right into town. Once the trees leaf-up, most of this will be invisible. (Taken 20th February 2018.)
