BRONTE COUNTRY

Bronte Country van with snowy hills glimpsed between houses. Stanbury. Calderdale, West Yorkshire.

In the broad area around Haworth, everything gets related to the Bronte sisters who used to live there: tyres, teas, caravan sites, gin!

This was taken yesterday outside The Wuthering Heights pub in Stanbury, Probably the last of the snowy pictures for the moment as the temperatures have moved above freezing today.

Good thing your snow has melted. It makes driving safer. If I were in the area, I would have to stop in the Withering Heights Pub just for its name.

Withering Heights ... who would not stop there for the name alone but also for the mood it evokes.
