Hello Hermes. The trouble with this kind of plant is that even when it's growing - it still looks dead. I like the texture and colour for a photo though.
Hello James. Hair which has been bleached this badly tends to crumble!
Hello Adrian. Until recently, liquid soap (antiseptic at that) was the only Carex I knew of. I had to find out the name of this extraordinary plant. Generally, I find it very dull and am amazed that people grow it. However, I was surprised by its beauty when the sun shone through.
Thanks for the welcome back. There has been so much rain recently I simply stopped for a bit rather than post erratically. I'm nervous about whether the weather will let me post daily even now but I miss it here!

Ready for spring and new growth. Once the rain stops!
Reminds me of a friends hair back in the 1980's. He used too much bleach and hairspray. :)

No matter what it's called it looks very cool in this photo. Great shot Lucy.
Lovely in color and shape.
Hello Chuck and T.Becque. I was so pleased to find this odd plant looking something other than a tatty blob when the sun shone on it.

Like my hair after a good hot day at the beach....
