What a unique image. Looks like the sea weed is tightly packed in a clear glass bowl. It is a beautiful shade of green.

Hello Adrian. I was pleased to find this because it was washed up precisely where I came across a tyre in the autumn - only that one had no seaweed on it. I have no way of knowing if it is the same one but it gives it a history.

Hermes - I was lucky with the light for it cast just a little shadow round the edge and I don't think the image would be anywhere near as interesting without it.

Hello Scott - it took me a moment to understand what you mean . . . but you are right. It's extraordinary how the seaweed is gripping the tyre so tight and smooth - when it hangs ragged from rocks.
