Hello Hermes - this is the old town hall in Weymouth. (Weymouth as opposed to Melcombe Regis . . . which is now the main bit of what we now know as Weymouth). For a while it was a church (Adventist? can't remember) but it is being turned into a community arts centre.
Thank you Sy. In the summer I expect carnival contraptions will be built here - not quite as impressive as the ones in your photographs though!
