Toffeeapple. I was alarmed to read that you had enlarged the picture. I'd tried it earlier and found it very fuzzy compared with the original and was bit embarrassed by it. Blogger warns that quality is diminished when one posts pictures large and this is disappointingly true. Maybe your screen coped with it better than mine. Hope so!

Lichen and old wood - a wonderful combination.
That's fantastic Lucy. I enlarged it on my computer and it is even better. The lichens found locally are usually of the cup formation.
