Hello Toffeeapple. I need you to vet my pictures! This tree has been puzzling me. I was thinking it's an interesting kind of sycamore or maple but you may well be right about it being ash. I'll have to pay attention to the leaves when they come!

Lucy, I think that you can tell by the colour of the leaf buds, if they are almost black it will most likely be Ash.
