Hello Taken for Granted. With this wall, it's to make sure you don't harm it or fall over it as much as anything because there's a drop to the sea on the other side and it's protecting an important drainage route. However, I have an awful feeling that whoever designed it also thinks it looks good . . . and I disagree!
