Hello Taken for Granted. I find these white umbelliferous plants difficult but was thinking this one is hogweed (also known as cow parsnip) Heracleum sphondylium. When it comes to Queen Anne's Lace - I'm completely at sea. I think the leaves are more delicate and divided. I've been trying to work it out from iSpot http://www.ispot.org.uk/ - which is often very helpful for identifying plants - and got sunk in a range of different plants and names. Whatever it is . . . it's a very summery plant!
I investigated umbelliferous plants once, found out that Queen Anne's Lace has a red flower in the centre - then found out that this was not always the case; back to the drawing board for me.

Looks like a flower (or weed) called Queen Ann's Lace. These are mid-summer plants.

Great picture, very evocative of the shore.
