so high tech, certainly not like the bus stop I grew up with.

Nice pattern of vertical and horizontal lines. Colorful too. Good one.

A little oasis of city in the middle of the green rural desert, some might say...
Useful to have an electronic sign that tells you when (or if) a bus will someday come.
Keep up the good work :)

One of those partial views where the whole truth is not shown.

Hi, Jennifer - These high tech bus stops were introduced when the sailing element of the 'London' Olympics were held here. But . . . this one is already (or temporarily?) not working. With no buses forecast on the screen.

Thanks Bill. I'm oddly drawn to this view. I pass here often so you may find more of the same spot over the seasons. The maze in the field on the other side of the road has already grown and been harvested.

Hi Pat at Squirrelbasket. It isn't exactly city in a rural desert - it's the very precise edge where Weymouth meets the countryside. There are houses and a 1950s style row of shops behind me.

Everyone - if you care to return to the picture and enlarge it, you will see a row of dome-like lumps along the crest of the left hand ridge. These are prehistoric tumuli. Here's a link to more information about them.
