POST AND IVY

Low stone post with ivy growing up it.

Green stars, blue horizon.

I really liked this one and the rock wall yesterday. Such strong overtones, and this one softened by plant and water.

I too have been very busy, so blogging has been on the back burner for quite a while. I love the Ivy growing on the concrete, and especially the ocean in the background. I get a little twinge of homesickness for the lovely ocean beaches of NZ. Our Island, Whidbey Island, is in Puget Sound, not the same as being by an ocean.

Hello Desertquilts. This post with ivy on is not far from the rock wall but is in a more sheltered position - as you can tell from the vegetation. Having said that - it's still pretty high and exposed, as you can tell from the view beyond.

Hello Jennifer. Apologies that I have taken so long before replying. I too would find it hard to live far from the sea. I used to live on the East Coast of England and of Scotland - where the sea is grey. I'm still often taken aback by how blue it gets here.

Thanks Gerald.
