Hello Pat. It's the ivy leaf I'm interested in re.colour. It's the only one with a dark patch and the only patch on it is where it touches one of the Cuckoo Pint's inky veins. It could be a coincidence but it's an interesting one because it's the only ivy leaf in the picture at least that has it.
I know someone who calls this plant 'Lords and Ladies' and I think there are other names for it too. I wonder why it has attracted so many names. Maybe because it looks really different at its different stages in its annual cycle?

Nice one. Here we call them cuckoo pints. It always seems a bit random to me whether the leaves have black splashes or not...
