Gorgeous! Mine actually were blue this spring - all four of them - and about 1/4 the size of these. I'd love to have mine grow like that! They could pick any color they liked. =) I think it has to do with soil?
Hello Susan. I can't claim any credit for the size or colour of these blooms. I inherited the bush when I took over the plot last autumn. In late winter I took away the dead ones and trimmed it back. Apart from that I've done nothing but water it. It's done all the spectacular stuff itself!
Mine, here, are on clay soil so I shall never see blue or even vaguely lilac. I am not entirely sure that mine will survive the current drought. Perhaps a chance to get some different ones?
