So bright and beautiful against that green, but even better, you focused in so I can see the eyes in front and the W marking. I don't think I've ever seen that before!

The W marking is, I understand, one of the ways one can tell it's a harlequin. There are lots of ladybirds around at present and unless one meets them en masse, they are very cheerful.

Hello Walter. I'm doing a catch up on comments. Sorry not to have replied sooner. There were a lot of ladybirds around a few weeks ago. It would be good to think they are bringing us good fortune. (Glad I'm not a greenfly!)
