CANAL

Rochdale Canal near Mytholmroyd, Calderdale, West Yorkshire. With grassy field and trees.

A quiet  moment. Shortly before there were rabbits chasing each other round tussocks of grass, a few minutes later the water was filled with Canada geese. On and off it drizzled. (14th June 2019)

Wonderful reflections and soft colors. I do like this photo.

Thanks for telling us the before and after parts. It looks so tranquil in the photo, but it's good to know that life happens there, too! I take it this isn't the kind of canal that houseboats go up and down?

Hello Taken for Granted. I'm pleased the reflections show. They provide a continuity between 'that side of the canal' and this.

Hello Susan. It reminded me of the photo I took of the town centre where all of a sudden there was only a motorbike passing. And indeed it is the kind of canal where houseboats are. Mostly they are moored though and stay in one place, but there are also narrow boats which take people on 'cruises' along the water.

Hello Evi. Everything is very green at present - different from last year when we had little rain.
