This one's for traffic, not boats, right? It's very interesting. I don't think I've ever seen one like this. Of course, I haven't ever seen many, not being by the water, or spending much time near it or in marinas, etc.
Hello Susan. The bollard is purely traffic related. I assume it's to stop cars coming up onto the pavement at that point. Bollards are used a lot all over this country for preventing cars from going places.
