Hello Happy Mouffetard. It is, indeed, gorgeous. Not what everyone brings to mind when thinking of Halifax - but this is just a twenty minute drive from the centre of town. The countryside round here is incredibly varied and one moves rapidly from intensely urban to incredibly remote, from moorland to fields and all sorts of landscapes that I'm gradually discovering.

That fence is so interesting. I've seen stone fences similar in Rhode Island, but it isn't something common in my life. The whole scene looks idyllic. You do live in a beautiful country.
