Hello Taken for Granted. This wood is not a long way from where I live but it's the first time I have been there - and I was enchanted. Will return for a longer walk some time . . . though autumn rains may soon make it too mushy under foot for many more explorings this year.
Hello Squirrelbasket, Susan and Diana. Visiting (and posting) on 'Message in a Milk Bottle' to keep it ticking over. Hoping that come the autumn I will be back to daily photos. In the meantime . . hello! And thank you for commenting. It's a magical scene this, isn't it? There's this lovely, storybook gate and path leading to a beautiful river running between high hills. I went just the once, then there was winter, then there was a string of lockdowns. I'm looking forward to returning. Hopefully before not too long. It's not far away in a car - but we are still not released to travel around much yet. At least, I don't think we are. We're in a murky phase where I'm really not clear how far we can go, so for the moment I'm sticking to a slightly expanded 'local'.

This is a fine woodsy landscape. A fine photo.

It certainly looks like the sort of place a fairytale adventure could start...
You have captured it beautifully
:)
It is a place I would love to walk on a cool autumn day.
That is a picture that could unfold a story
