Sometimes the simplest of things become the star attraction. That is exactly what has happen here with this window. It makes me wonder why the extra brick work has been added to the opening.

Your photo has great graphic lines. It also tells a story of construction and re-construction with the narrowing window. The wooden beams of the rebuild look quite old. Lots of history here.

Great photo of the window! I thought my window out front needed help - this one makes it look like it's perfect. =)

Hello Andy. This window seems to have a lot of history packed into a small space. And it's odd that it's shrinking. Mostly people like big windows, not to find ways to let in less light! It has the air of being pretty ancient but I don't know its date.

Hello Taken for Granted. One can see a diagonal line beyond the glass. It makes me wonder whether a staircase has been built the other side of the window and that's why it's been made smaller. Many buildings round here have soot left from the old mills but the soot on this one is patchy so I'm wondering if there has, at some time, been a fire.

Hello Susan. I have large windows in my house and I like the light. I wouldn't want to swap them for smaller ones. On the other hand, this window in the photo is so full of character, I felt I'd like to live in a house with so many stories to tell.
