Hello Nouvelles Couleurs and Scott. Sometimes it feels as if the landscape has been specially arranged to provide possibilities for photos. Sometimes, it's very exciting.

I was very glad to find your photography today -- dynamic! Really enjoying the site (and wondering why someone would number a flag pole).

Hello Eliza. I'm glad you found Message in a Milk Bottle too and that you like what you see. I post one photo (without words) daily.

I think the reason for the number on the pole is that, unlike the other poles in the picture, it is a very tall lampost. I imagine if the bulb goes, someone gets told to put a new one in number five!

No wind and No.5 is in the centre :-)
An exciting perspective and a very nice colour contrast between the "silver" and the blue (polarization filter?)

Rune! I don't have a DSLR let alone filters! This is exactly what it all looked like - and no adjusting on computer either - just took the photo, came home, put it on here!

Nice color and contrast. What kind of camera are you using for your posts?

I like the trueness of it.

So simple and so true. Great shot.

Leovi - we are lucky here on this stretch of the South Coast of England. This is our sky colour for much of the time!

Hello Jane. I am using a Canon S90. I haven't had it long but I am very pleased. One day, I would like to afford a good DSLR so I can change the lenses but, in the meantime, this is a very good second best. Indeed, in some ways it is better because it fits in my pocket but still takes good pictures. (And it can take them simultaneously in JPEG and RAW - which is what I do.) One can make quite a lot of adjustments in the settings both in advance and as one goes along.

T. Becque and Chuck - isn't it fun that one can take a photo with one's poles numbered! Very convenient. I'm only glad it wasn't something like 376 - that might have been a harder call!
