Beautiful light in this shot. Simple and nice. I don't mind the shadows.

Hello Hermes - they are the seeds (nuts?) of a Golden Bay Tree.

Adrian - I did try cropping the picture but didn't like the resulting balance. (I also quite like the curves of the shadows.) Do you play your flute in your van or were you at an event? (I'd better go and read your latest post, that might tell me the answer!) Incidentally, I tried to leave a comment the other day but couldn't get the comments form to come up. At least I can comment sometimes nowadays. It's odd this.)

Hello Dagrun. So pleased you like the baycorns photo.

Incidentally, everyone, Esther Montgomery is giving these away so, if you would like to grow a bay tree from seed - go to

Thanks, Kathrine. I'm glad you like the baycorns - shadows and all!

Hello Pat. I'm glad you like the baycorns too. And as for Adrian's shadow comment - I truly appreciate suggestions for fine tuning. And, goodness, this is mild. He once had me turn a whole building round the other way because he thought it would look good facing the other direction!

(Incidentally, the shadows are caused by the rim of a white plate and its beyond.)
