Hermes - great view indeed. It's a wonderfully used and maintained Pavilion. Beautiful rain. I think one has to learn to love rain in Buxton . . . though so heavy when we were there it made it impossible to explore a much of the town as we would have liked.
Hello Rune - this is the view from a cafe window. They must make most of their money from visitors waiting for the rain to stop.
Agreed, Toffee Apple. I think one might have to stake out Buxton hoping for a day without rain like paparazzi hoping for a glimpse of an especially shy celebrity.
Hello Chuck. Rain can be a pain when one is wanting to explore but it is also what makes the western side of the British Isles green. And drought is not fun.

Made me shiver but what a great view.
I know the feeling ...
But, have you ever tried to capture Buxton in sunshine? That would be a challenge...
Wish we could see a few views like that here...our drought sure could use it. Nice one Lucy.
