That looks so cold but beautiful.

Morning Hermes. The ground stayed frozen rock solid all day. I'd gone prepared though, was well wrapped and stayed warm. It was a lovely walk.

(I'd was drawn down to the water by the ice floating by. Hadn't seen such a thing before.)

Super shot Lucy, cold I imagine?

An unusual but very interesting way of showing a river - an increased peacefulness to the photo.

PS And I suppose the river beneath a bridge called Stourbridge? Famous among railway enthusiasts and also fans of the late Michael Innes.

I love shooting trees in the winter. I took a few shots on my latest trip north and will be posting some soon...maybe today.

Hello Everyone - cold? Yes! Lovely place too.

RuneE - there are several 'Stour's. This one is in Dorset - a long way from Stourbridge. The rivers Frome and Avon have similar identity problems!

Chuck - looking forward to seeing your tree photos.
