PIGEONS AND PLANTS

Pigeons and plants on the top of Old Brewery and pigeons flying above it too.
January 15th 2013

This is the very high roof of an old brewery (Brewer's Quay in Weymouth, Dorset). The number of plants up there is extraordinary - buddleia, grass and ferns. Almost a complete world.

Just back in from a grim walk. What a sunny image to cheer me up.

Nature is taking over. A magnificent RGB-photo :-)

I love it. It looks like a world all its own in this picture.

Hello Adrian. Sorry your walk was grim. Some are so splendid I imagine the good ones outweigh the awful. Am wondering - do you think your travelling and outdoors life makes you fitter than if you were in a house or do the times of cold and wet (and loneliness?)take an extra toll?

Hello Rune. I had to look up RGB! It's an extraordinary 'other world' up there. Often nature takes over from the bottom up. Here it seems to be the other way round.

Hello Desertskyquilts. I've been wondering how much of an independent eco-system there is up there.

Great framing here and amazing to see the numbers of birds captured.
