Hello Susan. The bark on this individual tree has particularly deep folds and has wonderful, bendy patterns so I think it is exceptional here too. Not a one-off but noticeable. Currently it even has small saplings of two other kinds of trees growing on one of its lower branches. Such comes, I suppose, of age!

These are such interesting trees, because the bark is so different from anything I see here in Tennessee, USA.
