I only spoke to the woman in my photo briefly. She asked if the local post office was down the road (I didn't know), and I asked if she minded my taking another picture!

Hello Easygardener, Dimple, Pat, Luzyvina and Sujomi. It's interesting how a photo can tell a story that's aside from the history of the physical subject but worth telling all the same. These deflated balloons arise from lax housekeeping rather than from anything sad so, if you saw them in 'real life' you would laugh, rather than sigh, and say 'Surely they aren't still there!'
