I also love hawthorns, for the shape of the leaves and for the swarms of birds that cover the tree in the late fall.

Hi Paul. I like the leaves best on the hawthorn. Sometimes both blossom and berries can be a little overwhelming.

Hello Juan - and agreed. Summer has hard work to keep up with autumn when it comes to colour.

Hello, Christine. Like you, I like the leaves. I've not been as aware as some others, I think, of the trees being more attractive to birds than the trees and bushes near them. I'll have to be more attentive and see which birds specially like eating the berries.
