And spike-free leaves?
Annoying, isn't it! Not exactly christmassy! There were spiky leaves further up the tree - which seems back to front. I'd have expected them lower down. The tree had been trimmed on the side where I was standing so these leaves may originally have been inner ones. When I have more time, I'll see if I can edge down the bank a little. It may be that although these are at my eye level, they may, because of the slope, be quite high up the trunk.
